Biosensor Technology Holds Great Promise
 May 4, 2003

An interesting development recently caught my eye. A German company (Infineon Technologies) has constructed a new type of biosensor chip that directly interacts with living cells – specifically neurons.
This has enormous implications in the fields of human neuron research, nerve tissue research, organic neural network development and new drug development. These tiny devices amplify and process the electrical signals sent by neurons, allowing scientists to see how they work singly and together. It is an important step towards understanding how we think and remember.
To find out more about this development check out the full article at Electronics Products Magazine or visit Infineon's web site at www.infineon.com.
